Official II. Preseason Power Rankings

18-1
1. Bzzz FC - Finished 2nd to DOUK in last season's 18-1, this will be a team to be reckoned with. Just needs to be able to survive an injury to one of its strikers.
2. AC Jacksonville - Quite possibly the strongest team in the conference. The question is, will the team manage to break away from its reputation of >Mets of sp League.
3. Aussie Basements - Won >shaw season 2. Could use help in defense, but goalkeeper is class.
4. Oh The Lulz - Good attack, good goalkeeping, and good midfield. Defense could use some help, however.
5. Earth Federation - Shadow of its former self. Without Fsan, the team is in disarray. The team is still quality, but its results will depend on the manager's activity.
6. SoCal SV/bankees - New managers. Unpredictable.

9001. Panama Fudge Tunas - Will be in the bottom until PFT manager comes back. Great team, but riddled with injuries.

>shaw
1. DOUK City FC - The class of the division, DOUK finished 1st in 18-1 the previous season, but has to be able to battle through early-season injuries.
2. Trollingham Town - Strong team. 2 great young strikers, versatile midfield, okay defense. Goalkeeping slightly above average.
3. The Good Game Kids - Slightly weak team. Needs help on midfield and attack, but experience could be key to promotion.
4. Widdly Scuds - Great, young attack, above average midfield, serviceable defense.
5. BRETTFAVRES - One of the better, more balanced teams, but the manager is new to the league. Could be a dark horse promotee.
6. Sancho WTF - Weak attack, but has a solid defense.
7. Handegg FC - Young, talented striker, and a solid midfieler, and serviceable defense.
8. Durperdean FC - New manager, probably destined for relegation.

Manchester Yellows 21 13 3 4 14 -31
Shoreline Wild 21 11 2 5 14 -31

Because of the uneven amount of teams, both >shaw and /a/ Divisions will finish their respective seasons 4 weeks before the others. Only one week remains, and while the three promoted teams from >shaw have long since been decided, there's some drama at the bottom. We'll start at the relegation zone.

Shoreline Wild (12th, 11pts, -31) drew 1-1 with murdertrain (5th, 36pts, +13) at home, which will undoubtedly derail their bid to stay in >shaw. They'll need a win in the last week and hope for the best. Luck might be on their side, as the Manchester Yellows (11th, 13pts, -31), lost to The Revenants (6th, 35pts, +12) at home 0-1. A 0-3 loss to Aussie Basements FC (1st, 43pts, +25) put Friendly Belgians (10th, 13pts, -27) back in the relegation zone in lieu of FC LUCAS (9th, 14pts, -27), who played spoiler by drawing with FC Waco (3rd, 42pts, +19).

With three points left to play for, there were no other meaningful matches aside from FC Namtaf's (4th, 37pts, +11) 2-2 draw with Diveclub Grassfoot (7th, 31pts, +9). Namtaf needed a huge win to have any chance at promotion after last week's draw, but coming back from being down 2-0 at halftime was not enough.

Torquay Trolls (2nd, 43pts, +23) hung onto a first half goal to defeat Cockney Welders (8th, 29pts, +4) 0-1 and were rewarded, along with Aussie Basements FC, with a free bump up in the rankings at the expense of FC Waco. Regardless, all three teams have secured promotion.
